The inspiration for the illustration is taken from location photos of Villajoyosa’s beach front promenade. Villajoyosa also known as La Vila Joiosa, is a coastal town in the province of Alicante in Spain.
Known locally at ‘La Vila’, the town is located on the Costa Blanca on the Eastern Coast of Spain.
Old ‘fishermans’ tales refer to the houses being painted in bright colours to help guide fisherman back to their homes.
Painted houses are a feature of many coastal and historic town’s and villages across the Mediterranean.
Brighten up your home and remind yourself of those wonderful summer holidays in the ‘Med’.

Delivery
All our prints are sent first class using Royal mail. They are packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube so they will not get damaged. They come in an acid free cellophane sleeve with the certificate of authentication enclosed. If you order more than one print at the same time then you will only pay for one shipping cost. Our standard shipping cost is £4.45.
We can only ship to UK addresses through our website. We can also offer a collection service from our studio.
With the exception of the Wainwrights Fells Map, all our prints are unframed and are in either standard A3 (297mm x 420mm). These are standard sizes and will fit in most universal frame sizes from suppliers such as Ikea, Boots, B&Q, The Range etc. They include a white boarder to all sides. This enables you to display directly in the frame or in larger frames using standard sized mounts. The illustrations are printed on 250gsm heavy weight paper so can easily be trimmed to suit any size frame.
